Match Ammo and Permits

If you are requesting your permit for your firearm(s), it is advisable to also include in the application the required number of rounds (ammo), even if you plan to travel without ammo and to buy the “OFFICIAL MATCH AMMO” on the range.

According to current Czech legislation, the movement of foreigners (non-EU citizens) with ammo outside the shooting range is not possible without the appropriate permit (Gun Way Bill).”

Match Ammunition and Firearm Requirements

Last Update: March 24, 2025

BRASS BULLETS

After thorough discussion with shooting range owners, representatives of the county Department of Firearms and Ammunition and in agreement with Range Master, I have decided NOT TO allow solid brass bullets (ammunition) in the WS PCC/MR 2025. Main reason is close metal targets in several bays.

PROHIBITED Ammunition (UPDATE MARCH 4th, 2025)Click HERE for Complete Information

IMPORTANT: It is not possible to shoot both firearms. Everyone has to choose either PCC or MR.
Thank you for your understanding.

OVER-LIMIT MAGAZINES:

In the Czech Republic, only holders of an exemption may have over-limit magazines (more than 10 rounds).
However, for the purposes of WS, the INVITATION, in which this is explicitly stated, entitles the competitor to use over-limit magazines.
The INVITATION also entitles the competitor to carry a maximum of 2,500 rounds of ammunition.
Each shooter will find INVITATION in shooting profile (registration website) no later than the beginning of February.

CONVERSION KITS:

Conversion kit is recognized by the Czech gun legislation the same way as the original firearm. The semi-auto rimfire is the “class B” firearm, so is the conversion kit (both must be registered). That means to bring it to the CZ the conversion kit must be registered in the European Firearms Passport or you will need the Permit (Gun Way Bill).

BARREL LENGTH:

There is NO limit for barrel length in the Czech Republic.

UPPER PARTS OF PCC:

In case the upper part is not marked with a serial number in your country, and you want to bring a spare upper part with you to the match, it is important to state this in the application for PERMIT (Gun Way Bill).

Your permit should therefore contain information about 1) the complete firearm (upper + lower part with serial number) and 2) information that you are carrying a spare upper part without a serial number.

The Official Match Hotel is the Hotel SAVANNAH

The hotel is located in the host city of Znojmo, 19.7 km from the range.

Taxi Services

BOLT doesn´t provide any service in Znojmo (they operate only in Prague and Brno), but there are local TAXI providers, who are used to ensure transportation for individuals as well as small groups to/from the shooting ranges – lots of them are usually used by shooters coming every year to Znojmo for EEO or Hot Shots matches.

Waiting time for the car for travels within Znojmo is 5 till 15 minutes (15 minutes is the time to reach Hodonice shooting range). For smaller groups it is necessary to order the transportation at least 24 hours before travel.

E.g. TAXI Petr Brezina and TAXI Libor are able to ensure transportation as well for group of 9 people in one car (transportation has to be ordered at least 1 day before travel)

All the Taxi dispatch centers are able to receive calls in English and the drivers are able to communicate in English at least in basic way. You can find the price list on the websites of given providers. Usually, the price is like 20-30 CZK (1€ – 1,30€) per 1 km

All the TAXI providers accept cash payment in CZK and EUR. Some of the providers (Taxi Znojmo – Petr Březina, Taxi Libor Znojmo) are able to accept as well QR payments.
